报告摘要

In this seminar, I will present my recent research on rare and hidden processes at the LHC, focusing on top quark flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNC) and axion-like particle (ALP) signatures. I will discuss analyses based on LHC Run 2 data, including the first evidence for single top production in association with a photon, as well as projections for probing FCNC operators using the effective field theory (EFT) framework at future colliders such as the FCC-ee or CEPC. These precision studies provide a powerful window into physics beyond the Standard Model.

Complementing these physics goals, I will also describe my technical contributions to the CMS detector upgrade, including the development and quality control of electronic circuits for the Outer Tracker, and the design and fabrication of high-speed link and control boards for the RPC muon system. These efforts are essential for enhancing detector performance at the High-Luminosity LHC and for enabling searches for long-lived particles and rare signatures. I will conclude with a perspective on how the synergy between instrumentation and physics analysis drives discovery at present and future collider experiments.

Mojtaba Mohammadi Najafabadi,欧洲核子研究中心CMS实验项目助理。2007年在CERN/CMS和谢里夫理工大学获得理学博士学位,后在IPM颗粒与加速器学院做CMS实验相关的博士后、高级博士后研究和全职研究员。主要研究方向为大型强子对撞机CMS实验的顶夸克区和希格斯玻色子物理学,包括希格斯玻色子和顶夸克的标准模型有效场理论,以及超越标准模型的理论研究。
